Cyperus scariosus


Cyperus is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Cyperaceae family. It is indigenous to India and referred to as Nagarmotha in Hindi. It is often used in the manufacturing of soaps, medicines and incense sticks. In India, Cypriol was traditionally used to scent women’s clothing including saris. It is also used in Ayurvedic medicines to treat nausea, fever and other disorders.
