Developed in the late 16th century, Rosa Centifolia is a complex hybrid, believed to be derived from Rosa Gallica and Rosa Damascena. Roses are being grown in India for centuries, both for religious and ornamental purposes. Rose water is an excellent relaxing agent, soothes the nerves and adds flavour to a variety of dishes across the world. “Gulkand” or Rose Petal Jam is a powerful antioxidant and a very good rejuvenator. Roses are also used for offering to deities in Indian temples
